Your community
Your home, your community, your voice.
Our tenants are at the heart of everything we do. We know how important a safe home and supportive community are, and we try our best to make sure every Shal tenant has these.
We’re always looking for ways to work with tenants and hear your ideas. On this page you’ll find ways to get involved with our work at Shal.
Tenant focus groups
Our tenant focus groups allow us to get people together, talk through our ideas and hear your feedback about what we can do differently. We have previously run focus groups on our repairs service, and as a result made changes to our process.
We are currently looking for tenants to join our focus group. This will focus on how we share information and ways we can engage with tenants across widespread communities and rural areas. If you would like to find out more, or register your interest for this focus group, please email feedback@shal.org.

Free college courses
We are working with Bridgwater & Taunton College, and the wider UCS College Group, to provide free Level 2 college courses for Shal tenants. The courses cover a range of subjects, from cleaning to coding! You can sign up to an online course now. In-person courses will be live by the end of the year, and you can register your interest using the tenant application form.
If you have any questions, email us at feedback@shal.org, or contact the college directly using info@ucscollegegroup.ac.uk.

Community support
Our Advice & Support page has information about local and accessible support covering a range of topics, from financial support to wellbeing.

What else?
We’re always looking for ways to work with our communities. If you have ideas for a project, or there is a project or organisation you think Shal could get involved with, let us know! You can share your ideas by emailing feedback@shal.org.
