I wanted to let you know that we have decided to pause our work on Together with Tenants, including the national rollout planned for the summer. This has been a really difficult decision for the NHF, particularly as strong relationships between residents and housing associations are now more important than ever. However, we feel that it is right that the sector’s work at the moment focuses on ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff.
We have spoken to the Chair of our Member Steering Group and the Chair and Vice Chair of our Tenant Advisory Panel, who are all supportive of this decision.
Together with Tenants remains an absolute priority for the NHF, as we know it does for our members. To make the a national rollout a success, however, we would require significant input from residents and housing associations. We do not think now is the right time to ask that of people. We know that you will continue to prioritise building strong relationships with residents during this period, and that many of you will continue to implement the plan and charter. We will do what we can to support and highlight your important work.
I want to reassure you that this is just a temporary pause. As soon as we can, we will be back in touch to discuss our plans to get this work moving again. There is also so much we have learnt from your experience as early adopters, which we are still processing. We will share this with you as soon as we can, but please be assured that your learning and experiences will be instrumental in shaping the rollout.
I want to thank you personally for helping us reach this point and for joining us as an early adopter. If you have any questions at all, then please get in touch.
