Ian Liddell-Grainger MP came along to open SHAL Housing’s first Fun Day at Bridgwater and Albion RFC on Saturday.

Bridgwater School of Karate gave an excellent display along with ACTS who sang songs from their upcoming show CATS. Free food, magic, a bouncy castle and gladiator jousting, along with lots of advice stands all helped to make the day a success.

SHAL was celebrating its 20th Birthday and presents were given to 6 tenants who have been with SHAL right from the beginning.

Angela Gascoigne, SHAL’s newly appointed Chief Executive said “I am so pleased that we have been able to show our tenants that we really want to be a part of the community and that we are here to help in whatever way possible.”

Through tombolas, book stalls and others SHAL was able to raise £300 on the day which will be donated to The League of Friends for Bridgwater Hospital.

We really enjoyed the fun day, brilliant budgeting course, really nice family entertainment,
four hours went by so quickly, fantastic day. Mrs Kane, Bridgwater
