After a long wait village housing development starts on site!

Local housing association, SHAL is pleased to announce that work has started on 7 affordable homes in Chilton Polden.

Designed to meet local needs from the village, this development consists of 3 three bedroom houses, 2 two bedroom houses and 2 one bedroom flats. Rents will range from £58 a week to £72 a week.

SHAL’s Chief Executive, John Thomson said “Unfortunately, there were a series of legal problems in getting this development on site but I am pleased we can now get to grips with providing homes for local people at affordable rents.”
